Hair Fall
A grounded look at the common, everyday reasons hair falls out - from the normal growth cycle to stress, styling habits and seasonal shedding.

Every hair follicle on your head is quietly cycling through phases - growing for years, resting briefly, then shedding to make way for a new hair. At any moment, the large majority of your follicles are in the growth phase, which is why losing some hair every single day is completely normal, not a sign that something is wrong.
Hair fall becomes noticeable when more follicles than usual shift into the shedding phase around the same time. Common triggers include physical or emotional stress, illness or fever, sudden weight changes, hormonal shifts, certain medications, and nutritional gaps. Because the shedding phase follows the trigger by several weeks, it's not always obvious what actually caused it.
Tight hairstyles worn repeatedly, harsh brushing (especially on wet hair), excessive heat styling and over-washing with a harsh shampoo can all contribute to hair breaking or falling out more than it otherwise would. These are usually easier to identify and correct than internal triggers.
A gentle, consistent hair-care routine - mild cleansing, regular scalp oiling, and a serum suited to hair-fall-prone hair - supports the conditions for healthier-looking hair, alongside reasonable attention to sleep, stress and diet. If shedding is sudden, severe, or comes with visible bald patches or scalp symptoms, see a dermatologist rather than relying on routine changes alone.

No - losing hair daily is a normal part of the growth cycle. A noticeable, sustained increase over weeks, or thinning concentrated in one area, is what’s worth paying attention to.
